Ambassador Macdonald as Canadians we must do the right thing. We must ensure Canadian, Nathalie Morin and her children are safe and free. We must ensure those convicted of crimes - particularly stemming from an incident involving aide to a Canadian - are allowed to mount a full appeal. These are our Canadian values. Please see the statements below by Ms. Morin and Ms. Al-Huwaider. We are asking folks to email you and demand that you ensure there is justice for all involved. "The charges against Wajeha Huwaider must be cleared. The charges against Wajeha Al Huwaider must be cleared, she has not asked to be involved in my story and she should not suffer the consequences. She never knew me and knew nothing about me. She only wanted to help me as a woman , a wife , a mother and human being herself from what she heard by others. She never tried to make any kind of interference in my relationship with my husband and she never had a discussion directly with me." - Nathalie Morin"The Canadian Embassy in Riyadh should contact Natalie and ask her to tell the truth, as she wrote in her blog (shown below). She should also add my friend’s name, Fawzia Al-Oyouni. This has to be written on a legal document, signed by Natalie and stamped by the Canadian Embassy. This is the evidence that we need to have in order for the court to drop the accusation. So please, could you contact the Canadian Embassy in Riyadh and ask the Ambassador to do the right thing as soon as possible?Thank you.Wajeha” - Wajeha Al-HuwaiderNathalie Morin made the statement in her blog here:http://www.saudireallife.blogspot.com/Contact information for Canadian authorities:Ambassador to Canada in Saudi Arabia, Thomas MacDonald, ryadh@international.gc.caPrime Minister Stephen Harper: pm@pm.gc.caMinister of Consular Affairs, Diane Ablonczy: diane.ablonczy@parl.gc.caMinister of Foreign Affairs, John Baird: john.baird@parl.gc.caMinister for the Status of Women, Rona Ambrose: rona.ambrose@parl.gc.caLeader of the Opposition Thomas Mulcair: thomas.mulcair@parl.gc.caOpposition Critic Consular Affairs: helene.laverdiere@parl.gc.caOpposition Critic for Women, Niki Ashton: Niki.ashton@parl.gc.caOpposition Critic for Justice and Human Rights, Francoise Boivin: Francoise.Boivin@parl.gc.caLiberal Opposition Leader, Justin Trudeau: justin.trudeau@parl.gc.ca
